About Me
I am a fourth year PhD student in Social and Personality Psychology at UT Austin, working with Dr. Jennifer Beer.
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Psychology at Johns Hopkins University, working with Dr. Howard Egeth to study the effects of aversive emotional distractors on attention.
When I'm not in the lab or the classroom, you can find me watching Steelers football, writing poetry, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, or seeing my favorite bands live.

Research, Teaching, and Mentorship
I conduct research on the role of emotions in social interactions, with a focus on investigating the person-level and expression-level factors which impact whether emotion is helpful or harmful.
I am also passionate about undergraduate teaching and mentorship! I incorporate evidence-based best practices in my caring, student-centered approach to teaching.
